Emilie is The Independent’s Fitness and Wellbeing Editor. Formerly Cosmopolitan UK’s Sex and Relationships Editor, Emilie has been a journalist and editor for over a decade. Her writing, media appearances and brand building work in the tech, health, sex and wellness spaces centre the female experience and investigate how we relate to one another, map paths to optimise health and define our identities in the modern age.

Emilie works with brands and organisations as a consultant to scale purpose-driven businesses and identify product and leadership innovations. She consults on a variety of content marketing, branding and strategy projects for the likes of Boots, The Body Shop and many other global wellbeing brands. She has also co-created and launched several businesses, including agencies, not-for-profit organisations and startups in the UK and the US.

Emilie Lavinia presents and produces events and media and has appeared in documentaries on Channel 5, ITV and BBC Three. She has been featured by the likes of The Guardian, BBC Radio 4, Times Radio, BBC World News and LBC sharing expertise and insight on health and wellbeing trends, tech and socio-political developments that affect women and girls. She has worked with UN Women, The AllBright, Google and Squarespace on a number of events and initiatives and works as an ambassador for several charities that have impacted national policy and UK law.
